Faith Lutheran graduate Mark Wilbourne experienced a traumatic spinal cord injury in January of 2019. He joined his fellow classmates four months later to speak at the Baccalaureate ceremony. This is the video footage and the transcript of his speech. Mark graduated with Honors and received endorsements from the STEM Academy and the Conservatory of the Fine Arts program. He ranked 9th in his class and will continue his academic pursuits by majoring in Aerospace Engineering at University of Colorado, Boulder.

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018 students in the Engineering - Honors classes along with any other interested STEM students took a field trip to see the ARMOR unit. ARMOR is the collaborative section of the LVMPD that provides support to the valley SWAT teams in the areas of robotics and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive incidents.
A few weeks ago, a team of 34 middle school and high school students traveled to Ensenada, Mexico to serve and learn. The goal was to build a home for a family in need but the end result turned out to be so much more. On January 13, 2018, Faith Lutheran hosted a record 78 teams from southern Nevada and California at its 3rd annual VEX Robotics Tournament. This year we expanded to include middle school VEX IQ Teams in addition to high school VRC. Faith Lutheran Teams competed at Sierra Vista’s tournament in December, our tournament in January, and are looking forward to the VEX IQ and VRC Championships in April.

This was the second year Faith Lutheran's Varsity Football Team competed in the 4A Northwest Conference, Sunset Division. This is the highest and most challenging division in the NIAA. Games in this division are so popular, they grab the attention of local news stations.
