The Las Vegas Community was devastated by an act of evil last night. We gathered our students and faculty together this morning to pray, to provide reassurance to our students, and to ask God for His comfort and peace for all of those involved.
Mrs. Harper reminded our students that, “In the midst of this tragedy we are grateful that God is sovereign and present in our city and in our community at Faith Lutheran. He promises to bless and comfort those who mourn.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 - “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
We lift up the Faith Family members that were directly impacted by the shooting. Two female seniors and one male alumnus were injured. All are in stable condition and are recovering in local hospitals. Please continue to pray for them and their loved ones and for the many who were at the concert and lived through the terrifying event.
School is in session today; our counseling staff and several area pastors are available all day and in the coming days for prayer and support. We know that our loving and caring God will place His hands of healing and comfort over the entire Las Vegas community.
Psalm 23:4 - “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
